Equity Markets about to rise says Dan Tiffin

If you have money to invest, you should see Dan Tiffin, the Prudential agent at Kincardine. It won’t cost you anything and you may find his advice will make you a lot of money – as it has for other clients.

Dan handles not only insurance, but mutual funds and other investments. And he can help you with thoughts on mortgages, taxes and investment strategies.

It’s not true that all tax shelters have been closed off, he says. There are some pretty good ones. For instance he can tell you how to protect RRIF money you wish to leave after both spouses die.

Speaking of dying, many seniors don’t realize the cost of a funeral now averages $7,000, compared to about $1,000 ten years ago. Most have insurance for funerals of only one or two thousand. But $4,000 buys you a paid up policy to cover almost any funeral, he says.

Dan consults his investment clients regularly, urges them to change their investment strategies with the market. There is no such thing as a truly long term stock or bond investment, he says. If mutuals are considered a safe investment, remember there are three basic kinds: Stocks, bonds and money market.

Dan is guided by the rise and fall of the prime rate. When it’s rising he buys money market funds; as it comes off the peak, he recommends income funds; before it swoops under 10 percent he recommends growth funds.

Over the last ten years those clients who have taken his advice earned an average return of 16.8 percent.

Dan says what a mutual fund did in the past is not important. It’s what it will do in the future – every year in the future.

Right now he’s hot on resource stocks. Four of the six indicators that he bear market is over and stocks will rise has been confirmed.

He has at his fingertips insurance coverage’s for anything from life to travel. Prudential is the second largest financial institution in the world.

Beginning January 1, this company is cutting its rates 10 percent over five years for ”no claim“ drivers.

Dan was featured recently on Prudential’s investment bulletin, Action. His advice to other agents: Keep yourself and your clients right up to date on the markets. Seek out intelligent, financially stable people and give them superb service.
